Hoop Hunter Basketball Training Facility

Hoop Hunter Basketball Training Facility in Texas

Saturday, September 20 - GYM CLEAN UP DAY. We will meet at the gym at 9:00 am and work together until noon to help make our gym the very best it can be! This is a great way for our Hoop Hunters to earn valuable community volunteer hours.

Tasks we will try to tackle will include dusting, sweeping, cleaning windows, cleaning the weight and game rooms, mopping the gym floor, cleaning the foyer area & restrooms. We will also tackle light mowing and edging and would sincerely appreciate anyone who can bring their mower and/or weedeater.

If interested, please email our office at hoophunter@hoophunter.com to sign up. Also please provide your school information so that we can forward your volunteer hours for your transcript.

Saturday, September 20 - FOOD PANTRY DRIVE. (between 9 am and noon) will also be an opportunity for our HHB family to donate much-needed supplies to the Food Pantry at LENA POPE HOME. There is a huge need for non-perishable items such as:

  • Deoderant
  • Canned meat (tuna, chicken, etc)
  • Spaghetti Sauce / Canned Ravioli / Spaghetti O’s
  • “Just Add Water” instant meals (meals in a box)
  • Evaporated / powdered milk
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Noodles / noodle meals
  • Meal bars / granola bars
  • Women’s hygiene products
  • Laundry soap

Please make sure food items have not expired.

There is also a need for new or gently used clothing (infants through teens), games, balls, and CD players. Unfortunately, furniture and other large items cannot be accepted at this time, with the exception of baby cribs. There is also a need for new white polo t-shirts as this is part of their school uniform.

If you are unable to drop off items on Saturday, September 20, please call our office and we can make arrangements for you to drop off items on another day/time prior to the 20th. Please make sure you leave your name so that we can send you a contribution acknowledgement.

Please consider participating in these events and being a part of a blessing to our HHB gymnasium and the LENA POPE HOME children.

And bring your friends!
