
Chad Nothe has spent the last seven years coaching men’s basketball. His background includes being named Coach of the Year by the Mid-Cities basketball league coaches in both 2007 and 2008. He currently is the head basketball coach and teacher at Westlake Academy.
In 2009-2010 he was a junior varsity coach at Prestonwood Christian Academy, where he also served as assistant coach to the highly successful varsity team that won both district and state championship titles in the TAPPS 5A division, and went 35-3 for the season.
For the past three years, Nothe has also been an integral part of the growing Hoop Hunter basketball club team program where he coaches the 16/17 boys team.
As a player, Nothe played both basketball and baseball at Trinity High School in Euless. In 2000, he played basketball for Tyler Junior College. He walked on to the Texas Wesleyan basketball program in 2004.
Nothe graduated with academic honors from Dallas Baptist University in 2007, earning a Bachelor of Arts and science degree with concentrations in child development and kinesiology.
He currently resides in the town of Little Elm with his wife Nicole.

He's a very dependable, loyal, responsible, God fearing young man. He has a great personality and maintains a high level of respect from the high school players he coach. Chad has one of the brightest futures in youth sports. He understands kids and young adults! When he's coaching, he conducts very intense practices. He's very demanding but fair. He truly has a special bond with his players and their families.
