Join Deon as he teaches players how to shoot the ball effectively from various areas on the court. Players will learn the principles of shooting, how to focus, how to practice without a partner, body posture & balance, shooting posture, where to look when shooting, being a consistent shooter, quick trigger shooter, knowing your limits, moving without the ball, shot fakes, shooting with arch, shooter and buddy and much more.

Emphasis:
Players will learn how to dribbling from a Triple Threat Position using their right and left hand with their eyes up. Players will learn how to dribble under control and with proper timing. They will learn how to get a proper lay-up angle, proper hand and ball placement (over right or left knee) and how to successfully practice lay-ups when at home.

What: “Itty Bitty Ballers” Let’s Play Basketball
When: Saturday, March 31st
Age: 4 and 5 Girls (Court 1); Boys (Court 2)

Emphasis:
“Itty Bitty Ballers” will be introduced to basketball. Our trainers will teach structured individual and group skills such as stretching, stationary coordination drills, drills involving running and dribbling, passing and competition drills. *We prefer kids in this event who have demonstrated that they can pay attention to details and who will be a good listener. Players who have a short attention span are encouraged to take a private 1 on 1 lesson. We encourage kids to bring their friends to this event. Poor manners will not be tolerated. Absolutely No Baby Sitting!

Join Lauren Jackson as she teaches and explains to young players how to make moves and attack the basket from the perimeter. Learn with Lauren some of the special tips that she used while playing high school and college basketball that made her a successful player.

Learn: to be a creative thinker, to react and size up your defender, to be a threat at all times, to protect your dribble against quicker players, to effectively use your sight to help navigate your way to the hoop, to make contact and draw fouls, and the necessary attitude needed to compete against more competitive players.
