Hoop Hunter Club Team 2012 Information
About our Coaches:
Hoop Hunter Basketball is a Christian youth sports organization (22 years). We offer a 4 ½ month off-season club team program (March 19th-July 26th). Our coaches are carefully chosen. Each of them will pass a criminal background check prior to working with your children. Our coaches will set high moral standards for the kids, they will prepare well for practices and games. They will also show patience, hold kids accountable for their actions and create a healthy team oriented environment. During tryouts our coaches pick the best top 10 players they feel should be on the teams.
About our Practices:
We prefer that all of our teams practice at the same location. This helps parents with car pooling and also helps coaches maintain a high level of communication. Teams will practice either on Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays. Our goal is to practice within a 5 to 10 mile radius of our HHB facility assuming gym space is available. Occasionally, a club teams may need to practice at other off-campus sites. (We will not be practicing at Richland H.S. this season)
About our Tournaments:
We Offer a 10 tournament package (minimum 3 games each weekend) plus 64 to 72 hours of practice time for $1,500.00 (uniforms included). All of our games are played in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex area & regional areas (competitive teams only). We play tournaments every other week with minor exceptions (June and July 3 tournaments). Players must earn playing time. This is not a pay for play situation. No practice no play! No exceptions!
Team Character:
The Character of our teams will be shaped by our coaches. It will also be defined by how well we practice and respond to weekly competition. We believe that confidence, aggressive play and assertiveness will be built through well managed practices and by players who choose to work hard in practice. We want our players to learn the game and use weekend tournaments to execute what they learned during the week. Players who don’t agree to play together as a team will be asked to leave the team and no refund will be offered. Parents are a huge part of our team’s success. They will be required to sign off on parent rules.
Cost & Payment Terms:
Each year we re-evaluate our cost structure. We understand that our fees are not always best for everyone. This year, it will cost all players $1,500.00 (no exceptions) to participate in our club team program. Payment of $750.00 is due at time of player contract signing. Remaining payment is due before the first tournament. This season, we will not be able to accommodate extended payment plans. We encourage parents to seek the right fit for their child. If our fees are too much for your budget, we hope that you will look to other organizations for the best fit for your child.
