I played varsity basketball at L.D. Bell High School. While there I played wing and post and was nominated as the Defensive Player of the Year and was an All-District Player. Throughout the years, I have spent numerous hours working summer basketball and sport camps such as; L.D. Bell High School Camp, Argyle High School Camp, New York Christian Camp (for Inner City Campers) and Hoop Hunter Basketball Summer Off-Site Camps.
I really enjoy teaching the game to young players who are seeking instruction and guidance. I prefer to work with players who are willing to commit to practicing what they are taught. “I believe in building players up and not breaking them down.”
WHAT DEON SAYS ABOUT DENNIS:
He’s a real funny, happy go lucky guy with a laid back personality who knows how to teach the game of basketball to young players. He’s not for everyone because he doesn’t yell nor does he scream when he teaches. He knows how to get the job done. Although he’s capable of teaching a more experienced player, I believe that he works better with players who are new to the game and who are in need of more special attention. If you’re not in a hurry to learn the game, Dennis is a very patient person and he doesn’t mind taking the necessary time to help you fully understand the gifts that God has bestowed upon you. “Try him, you might like him.”
