 
Jennifer is currently the head freshman girls’ basketball coach at Southlake Carroll High School. Before being moved up to coach at the high school level, she coached 2 years at Dawson Middle School and one year at Newman Smith High School. Jennifer graduated from Marcus High School where she was a 3-year letterman in both basketball and track and field including two regional appearances in the triple jump and mile relay. She was named to the All-District team 2 out of those 3 years in basketball and All-District Honorable Mention the other. She began her college career at Cisco Junior College under Coach Ronnie Hearne. As a sophomore, Jennifer was named to the All-Conference and All-Region teams. Afterwards, she played 2 years on the Inaugural women’s’ basketball team at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida. There, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. After returning to Texas, she went back to school to obtain her teaching certification in Mathematics 4-8 and later, grades 8-12 also. Jennifer has played every position on the court and has coached at both the middle school and high school levels. She believes that basketball is not just a game, but instead, a game full of many life lessons that can take you anywhere in life. WHAT DEON HAS TO SAY ABOUT JENNIFER Jennifer was trained personally by me years ago while in high school. She has remained faithful to Hoop Hunter Basketball as well as her community. She is a very detailed trainer and coach. She prides herself in making sure that the player truly knows and understands what's being taught. She understands very well what young players are in need of, and how to introduce the material to them regardless of their differences. She has very good work habits and is always well prepared. Her enthusiastic attitude is her driving force. Jennifer likes to smile. She believes that positive attitudes are contagious. Correcting a player's bad habits does not bother her at all. She has more patience than I can even stand. She loves the Lord and can't wait to go to the church and server. She's all about principle. |
