I am so encouraged that the Kids Helping Kids program is still in action! I am currently a senior at Princeton University (I can’t believe how fast time has flown!). Majoring in psychology has made me particularly interested in child development and I will be writing a senior thesis along those lines. I have been very involved in various extracurricular activities in college. As a Princeton tour guide, I am able to express my enthusiasm for my school. Volunteering at Hoop Hunter sparked my passion for coaching. This is my third year to coach a 4th and 5th grade boys’ basketball team (we’ve been slowly improving after our first year’s 1-9 record). I also worked at a Christian sports camp for inner city kids this summer where I counseled and coached basketball. My Christian fellowship group and my church have been a very important part of my college experience as my faith defines who I am. I have helped lead worship and have been a high school Youth Group leader. One of my highlights of my Princeton experience was getting placed on a local ice cream shop’s Hall of Fame because I ate 2.5 pounds of ice cream in 18 minutes! I’m not sure what the future holds for me, but I do know that I absolutely love people and I love coaching and I hope to work somewhere where I am giving up my life for others.
