Michael Eddy grew up in Denton, Texas, and was an All-District player at Denton High School. He went on to get a college basketball scholarship at two NAIA schools before finishing at Hendrix College. His highest honor in college was Honorable Mention All-American in NAIA as well as being an All-Conference selection in NCAA Division III and All-South Honorable Mention. His team at Hendrix won the first National Tournament game in school history. Coach Eddy went on to play in Mexico, for Athlete's in Action in Australia and New Zealand, in Europe for two years, and Australia for one, both professionally. While he was in Europe as a player/coach his team made it to the National Championship in Division II in Iceland both years winning it in 1999. After finishing his playing career, he got into coaching varsity girls basketball, 5 years as an assistant at Ursuline in Dallas, Grapevine Faith, and at Carrollton Christian, where he took over the program in 2006. In the summers of 2002 and 2003 he coached a Nationally ranked AAU team and won a National Championship in Prime Time with his girl's select team. As a varsity coach he has complied a 70-33 record, Two National Championships, Three Bi-District Championships, Two District Coach of the Year awards, and in 2007 was named Outstanding Coach in Large Private Schools for the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. He has coached two All-Americans, 9 All-State players, and 20 All-District players. Eleven of his players have gone on to play in college. In 2008, his team was the best free throw shooting team in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Small Schools as well as having the leading free throw shooter in the state as awarded by the TABC. Coach Eddy is currently in the Denton ISD. He coaches all positions.

He's the real deal. If you are looking for a fundamentally sound teacher of the game, he's your guy. Mike has been a Hoop Hunter for over 15 years. He began his training career with HHB working endless hours providing basketball training to inner city kids in Dallas many years ago. There's only one Mike Eddy. He knows and teaches every position. If you are serious about training and you want to get off to a good start, he's your man. Also, if you think you are high school or college material don't hesitate to get started. Mike also enjoys working with small groups, teams and providing special camps for teams. Mike says, "Don't quit, just get better"!
