Friday Night Shoe Strings - 2nd thru 7th Graders - (Co-ed)
A 10-week “Family Night Out” program specifically designed to enrich the development of young basketball players and help them transition into a more meaningful understanding of the game through skills based developmental training.
Through this program players will learn the proper way to focus, think, practice and develop confidence. If you are new to the game and have been playing basketball for less than3-5 years, then this program will help you discover many hidden things that you have yet to learn that could help turn you into a well rounded and respectable player.
During each Friday Night Shoe Strings Event, players are asked to bring a pair of unused shoe strings which will be donated to a foster home for children (Lena Pope Home).
Skills that will be taught:
- Basic fundamentals of dribbling with eyes up & changing directions using simple moves
- Basic fundamentals of how to shoot a proper right and left hand lay-up
- Basic fundamentals of how to properly pass and pivot
- Basic Fundamentals of how to shoot a fundamentally sound mid-range shot
- Basic fundamentals of how to get open and square up
- Basic fundamentals of how to play basic man to man defense, block out & rebound
- Basic fundamentals of how to play 1 on 1 / 2 on 2 (age appropriate) offense & defense
- Basic variety of fundamental drills that will help develop feet, hand & eye coordination

Advance Skills & Team Play With Brooke Shepherd & Lauren Jackson
5th & 6th and 7th & 8th Girls - Advance Skilled Players Preferred
Join Brooke Shepherd & Lauren Jackson for 10 weeks of high energy training. This program is specifically designed for players with advance skills. No beginners. Throughout this program, players will be trained to play the game of basketball in an advance setting which will be tailored to meet the needs of above average players.
During each session, players will learn advance skills needed to perform at a higher than normal level. Players will compete against other competitive players through drills and controlled scrimmages.

“The Art of Shooting” - For 5th & 6th Grade Players
Join Deon as he teaches players how to shoot the ball effectively from various areas on the court. Players will learn the principles of shooting, how to focus, how to practice without a partner, body posture & balance, shooting posture, where to look when shooting, being a consistent shooter, quick trigger shooter, knowing your limits, moving without the ball, shot fakes, shooting with arch, shooter and buddy and much more.

Become a Better Basketball Player With HHB Trainers
A 12 Week Program for 5th & 6th Grade Boys
(Girls are welcome to participate as long as they don’t mind playing with boys)
Join Deon Hunter as he teaches an array of basic and elevated basketball skills to players who aspire to further develop their basketball skills and play. During this 12 week program players will gain experience and ongoing knowledge that will help raise their basketball I.Q. and teach them discipline, confidence and self worth.

“Bitty Ballers” -
8 Week Program for 1st & 2nd Grade Boys & Girls (co-ed)
Join Brooke for an exciting 8 week skills based program as she teaches “Bitty Ballers” the basics of basketball.
During this exciting program, kids will learn the proper way to dribble, change directions with eyes up, stop with balance, pass effectively, pivot properly, shoot using a jump stop, play man defense by sliding feet and using a drop step, rebound and block out and dribble & shoot a lay-up. Players will also learn ways of getting open on the wing and play 1 on 1 basketball.
If you have a young player who would like to learn basketball the proper way then this is a great program for your child!

Basic Basketball Skills Training for
2nd-3rd, 4th-5th, 6th-8th Boys & Girls
Join HHB staff for 10 weeks of basic basketball skills training. If you are interested in playing basketball and have a desire to better develop the skills needed to play the game, this is the program for you.
During each weekly scheduled event, players will be taught age appropriate skills that are needed to play the game of basketball. At HHB we believe that knowledge is power. Therefore, we do our best to be patient with players while they’re learning the game of basketball. We realize that before a player can successfully compete, they must develop the necessary skills needed to play the game.
Skills that will be covered weekly depending on age appropriateness:
- Hand eye and feet coordination drills
- Warm-up drills
- Understanding the court & rules of the game
- Ball handling skills
- Passing skills
- Lay-up skills
- Shooting skills
- Defensive skills

Our facility is located at Dunham Road. Dunham Road is located at the southeast corner of the intersections of Highway 377 and FM 1171 (Cross Timber) in the Flower Mound area. Once on Dunham, come down about a half-mile and we are on the right side of the road. There’s a visitor’s parking lot at the end of the long driveway, and the gym is at the back of the property.
