My name is Chelsea Jennings and I am from Fort Worth , Tx. I went to high school at North Crowley high school where I lead my high school team all 4 years to district champs, earning MVP, Offensive Player of the year, All-district, All-Region, and All-State honors. I was ranked 45 in the nation according to espn national rankings, I was also nominated to be a Mc Donald All-American.
In addition to athletic awards I was also on 1st all academics teams all 4 years.
After H.S., I continued my basketball career at The Texas A&M University, playing all 4 years at A&M. I had a breakout junior and senior year where I was named 6th women of the year in the SEC, averaging over 10+ points a game during my final year at A&M. I graduated from the College of Architecture class of 16' with a degree in Environmental Design, becoming the first African American Female Athlete to graduate from the College of Architecture.
After graduating college, I continued my basketball career becoming a professional athlete. I started my rookie year 16'-17' season off in Greece where I averaged 13pts per game. During the 17'-18' season I played in Sweden where I averaged 19.6pts per game.
I am happy to have the opportunity to be able to give back to the youth at Hoop Hunter Basketball. This allows me, during off-season, to share my love and passion for the game and to help youth learn and develop the skills needed to be successful and compete at the highest levels. God has given me basketball as a tool to connect with people of all ages. There’s nothing more I would love to do than share my story and motivate others.
I live by Colossians 3:23
And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.
So if you keep God first and work hard, not for yourself, not for your coach, but for the glory of God, you can accomplish anything you put your mind too.
What deon says...
Chelsea is a gym rat. She loves basketball training almost as much as she loves life. I came to know Chelsea a couple of years ago while she was training at HHB with Coach Taylor Luster. After getting to know Chelsea's work habits, character, integrity along with her heart, I asked her to help players at some of our outreach basketball events. Now, I later asked her to join our youth sports training organization.
Chelsea has been properly trained by several good coaches. In fact, her college coach Gary Blair and I are friends since he coached girls’ basketball at S.O.C. in Dallas. Chelsea will be working with all age groups but will primarily focus on middle, high and college. She's a focused, disciplined, listens & communicates well, knows how to put together training programs for high caliber players, capable of training all positions and she believes, "If a player puts in the work, the results will come."
She's ready, are you?
