My name is Jack O'Neil and I am from Irving, TX. I played varsity basketball from my sophomore though senior year at Cistercian Preparatory School in Irving.  During my senior year, I was elected captain and voted to the All North Zone team.

I graduated in 2019 and am currently continuing my basketball career at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX.

This summer I will be joining the Hoop Hunter training staff, and I am excited to pass on everything I have learned to the next generation. It was a blessing to train at Hoop Hunter from the time that I was young.  I look forward to this amazing coaching opportunity and hope to see you this summer.

What deon says...

My staff and I have had the pleasure of training Jack for nearly 7 years +, he is a student of the game. He has a sincere heart, passion and love for the game of basketball.  He comes from a basketball family background. His father and mother both played competitive college ball.

Jack is a great communicator. He is patient, versatile, well-mannered and has a high basketball I.Q.

From the first time he stepped on the court at HHB, he has been a model student-athlete and person. Players will gain a lot of knowledge, basic and advance fundamental skills and confidence under his leadership.

What I like most is that he knows what it’s like to play multiple positions, because when he was a kid, he played mostly guard, but he had a huge growth spurt, which forced him to play multiple positions on the court. Jack will work with both boys and girls of all age groups.
