HOOP HUNTER BASKETBALL
TEACH. MOTIVATE. INSPIRE. ENCOURAGE. PRAISE.
My name is Lauren Jackson and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. My family and I moved to Argyle while I was in high school and I attended Liberty Christian for four years. I lettered in basketball all four years and was a two-time captain helping to lead my team to a first ever Women’s Basketball TAPPS State Championship my junior year. I graduated in 2007 and continued my basketball career at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. I graduated in May 2011 and received my undergraduate degree in Engineering with a minor in Architecture.
I developed my love for the game at a very early age and started working out with Coach Deon while I was in middle school. Coach Deon’s passion for the game and his ability to develop young players into talented athletes as well as well rounded young adults is something I am very grateful for. I was blessed in the amount of time I was able to learn from Deon and now as I look to give back. It is my desire to help young athletes develop their skills and reach potential they never thought possible. I love the game of basketball and I love being a Hoop Hunter!

What deon says...
"L. J." is an original Hoop Hunter. She knew as a kid that she wanted to be a basketball player which led her to begin training with Hoop Hunter Basketball in middle school. She spent several hours in the gym working and developing all phases of her game.
Because of the goals that she set as a kid along with her determination to be the best that she could be, she later earned an academic/athletic scholarship. She's a very bright and intelligent person. While in college she made a commitment to someday come back home and give back to the kids in the community by training players in grades 2nd-12th. She understands what it takes to become a better basketball player. She's been reared by both Larry and Pat Jackson who continue to inspire her to be her best as she gives back to the kids in the community. She has a passion for teaching the game and she fully understands the diligence and work habits needed to attain a higher level of success. She's a lefty which makes her even more special! She works with shooters and guards. We are happy to have her back home!
