Dear HHB/BBI Family & Friends,

On Monday, May 4th, we got word from Governor Gregg Abbott that gyms would be allowed [if they choose] to re-open on Monday, May 18th.  While I was not expecting to get this news so soon, I’m happy that a decision was made, one way or another, so that we could continue planning on how to best re-open our facility, with regards to the new social distancing and health & safety guidelines that has been recommended by the CDC and the state of Texas regarding COVID-19 safety!

“Our #1 priority as we move forward [carefully], is to ensure that your child and our HHB/BBI office staff & trainers are working in the healthiest and safest environment possible.”

During the last couple of weeks, I have been in fervent prayer asking God to give me the wisdom & guidance that I need as a leader as to how we should move forward under the new CDC guidelines. And for me, none of this has been easy. Please pray for continued guidance!

I realize that [personally] not all people believe and feel the same way [about COVID-19] with regards to: wearing mask, washing hands repeatedly, staying 6 feet apart, being asked not to shake hands and being told what they can and can’t do. However, for me, as a leader, the decisions I that must make involve doing what is best for HHB/BBI & your child’s welfare and safety, aside from personal beliefs.

With that in mind, please note our new policies and guidelines:

Our trainers will wear personal protection masks during each training session.

Trainers will pull mask up when they are within 6 feet of a student.

Trainers will pull mask down while demonstrating a drill or communicating with students and will maintain more than 6 feet away from students.

A gymnasium cleaning program schedule will be in place as we all work in a healthy well sanitized environment.

We will no longer provide basketballs. All players must bring their own basketball.

All players must bring their own water bottles.Drinking fountain will be closed for sanitary purposes.

Student-Players are not required to wear mask or gloves but may wear them if they choose.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday:

Private training available: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm / 1:00 – 4:00 pm / 5:00 – 9:00 pm

Closed for cleaning: 12:00 – 1:00 pm / 4:00 – 5:00 pm / 9:00 pm

Saturday: (TBD)

We know that the kids are anxious to get back into the gym, to get back up to speed, so we have several trainers available to work with your child. Please fill free to begin contacting our office for possible trainer schedules and availability.  Participants with sessions remaining prior to the shut-down will be accommodated first.

We are limiting the number of sessions for players to blocks of 4 private training sessions until COVID-19 is behind us and we are more comfortable moving forward as the curve is flattened.  More in-depth details about sessions will be sent by email, not social media.  Please continue to check your email as we move closer to our opening date.

The COVID-19 Pandemic is a sensitive & concerning issue. It has affected countries, states, communities, families and individuals in a variety of ways.  Therefore, I personally ask that you respect my decision not to allow special accommodations such as: no gym rental, no outside trainer gym rental, no team gym rental, no player (s) may use our gym for personal practice sessions, no make-ups for missed or cancelled workouts.  If we all follow the new rules and guidelines this will help us prepare for a new normal!

Thank you for your support and ongoing patronage through this difficult time.   We will continue to keep you updated as we are able to add additional services.
