Terrance Medcafe

Hi, my name is Terrance Medcafe. I was born and raised in Denton, Texas. I graduated from Ryan High School (Home of the Champions) in 2006. While there, I played varsity basketball my junior and senior year.

I’ve now been training at Hoop Hunter for 12 years, started October 2013. I’ve been fortunate enough to train players that have made it to all levels of NCAA basketball from JUCO to D1, as well as the professional level of basketball.

I am a basketball teacher and educator with a high basketball I.Q. that understands the roles & skill sets needed to play each position as well as the mental and physical make up needed to excel in the game of basketball.

Although I didn’t pursue a basketball career in college, I have a passion to teach and inspire those who are interested in learning the game.

Getting an opportunity to become a trainer at HHB has been a privilege. I take pride in the personal responsibility, character & integrity, and high degree of expectations that the organization has set for all of their team members. It is an honor to be affiliated and associated with a group of professionals who love the Lord and who care about the personal growth and development of kids through the game.

Fun Fact: I'm a Dragon Ball Z nerd.
Favorite Player of All Time: Kobe Bryant

After graduating, Len went on to play at North Lake Community College for 2 seasons and helped lead his team in back-to-back regular season conference championships.

Following his passion for the game of basketball, Len began training and coaching with Hoop Hunter in 2006. Since then he has been able to take part in assisting many young athletes earn all types of accolades and have success through the game of basketball at various levels. Len's biggest focus is to get better each day- appreciate yesterday's lessons and embrace tomorrow's opportunities, but live in the moment. He believes there is no substitute for hard work.

During his spare time he enjoys spending quality time with his wife (Laura) and son (Micah). He also likes to support his players by attending games and supporting other interests outside of the game of basketball.

Taylor Luster

Hello my name is Taylor Luster and I have been training and a trainer/coach here since 2012. I first came to HoopHunter as a sophomore to workout with Deon Hunter. Deon came across one of my games and
reached out to me on Facebook to ask if I would work a PG camp in 2011. Once the camp was finished, he offered me an opportunity to join the HoopHunter family as a college freshman at Hill College. I played at Hill College from 2012-14. I graduated from Hill College in 2014 after helping lead the team to the Region 5 Championship, with a berth in the national tournament for the first time since 1972. I then went onto lead Missouri Southern to a pair of top-three conference finishes during his playing career from 2014-16. I graduated with my business marketing degree and came to join the HoopHunter staff full time from 2016-2019. I then went to pursue my coaching career at UTSA as a graduate assistant from  2019-2021. My training background and knowledge that I gained helped produce the top two scorers in UTSA history and the NCAA for the two seasons I was there. That opportunity opened the doors for me to train a couple of up and coming professionals in the San Antonio Spurs organization. I graduated from UTSA with my masters in education.

Favorite Player of All Time: Chris Paul

Brandon Green

Hi, my name is Brandon Green. I have been around the game of basketball my entire life, growing up with a dad who was a high school coach. Basketball has always been more than just a sport to me — it has been a foundation for leadership, discipline, and serving others.

I graduated from Waynoka High School in Oklahoma and was blessed with the opportunity to play four years of college basketball at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. During that time, I also served in the Army National Guard as an infantryman, where I learned the value of teamwork, accountability, and perseverance. Those experiences continue to influence the way I coach and mentor young athletes today.

I began my coaching career in Bridgeport, Texas, and have spent the last five years coaching at North Richland Middle School. My goal is not only to help players improve their skills and basketball IQ, but also to encourage them to carry discipline, resilience, and confidence into every area of life.

What Deon Has to Say

Coach Brandon is truly a gem, a talented coach, devoted family man, and outstanding role model. He is deeply passionate about developing young athletes and takes great pride in helping players grow both on and off the court. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of watching him positively impact student-athletes at the middle school level while serving at the same school my son attended. During the 2025–2026 school year, my son also had the opportunity to be coached by Brandon firsthand.

What sets Coach Brandon apart is his ability to genuinely connect with athletes. He is an exceptional communicator who is self-driven, motivating, and brings a great sense of humor to every interaction. More importantly, he has a unique gift for recognizing each athlete’s individual strengths and skill sets, then creating a plan to help them maximize their potential and achieve their goals.

Coach Brandon is far more than just a coach; he is a man of faith who believes in living for Christ and leading by example every single day. His character, leadership, and dedication leave a lasting impact on the young people he mentors.

We are incredibly proud to have Coach Brandon on our roster.

Devin Lantrip

Hello, my name is Devin Lantrip. I bring over a decade of basketball experience and a strong science-based background to Hoop Hunter Basketball and Building Believers Inc. I am a native of El Paso, Texas and began playing organized basketball in first grade, developing through camps and clinics. I am a 3-year varsity letterman at Eastwood High School in El Paso and went on to play college basketball at McMurry University while earning my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. I have experience playing multiple positions, coaching youth camps, and working hands-on with young athletes. Professionally, I am a Certified Stretch Therapist and Senior Physical Therapy Technician, which has equipped me with expertise in proper movement mechanics, injury prevention, and safe skill development. I am currently attending the University of North Texas to pursue a master’s degree in physical therapy while continuing to train at HHB/BBI. I am passionate about helping athletes of all ages build strong fundamentals, confidence, character, and a genuine love for the game. I’m a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. My walk with Christ has helped me achieve lots of success as well as helped me overcome a variety of obstacles. I hope to pass on my knowledge, passion and experience onto young talented players. “I believe that all players matter and should be given an opportunity to learn how to play the game with proper training. I also believe that players can achieve a meaningful and even high level of success if they’re motivated and willing to put in the work.”

What Deon Has to Say:

Devin is a bright, intelligent, and talented young trainer who brings a wealth of playing experience to our roster. She strongly believes that mastering the fundamentals of the game is essential to long-term development and success. What I appreciate most about Devin is her patience, her strong communication skills, and her natural ability to connect with young players.

Her former college coach, Drew Long, now the head coach at Houston Christian University—shared with me that during her time at McMurry University, Devin was one of his most dependable players. He said, “I could always count on Devin to be ready for practice and play.”

Devin will train both girls and boys, regardless of their grade and/or experience level. She brings positivity, patience, and a genuine heart for teaching. If you’re ready to learn, Devin is ready to teach.

Blake Petter

I played high school basketball for the 2021 State Championship team, Argyle High School. I was a three-year varsity player with the team. I have been playing basketball since before grade school. I have been apart of the HHB family since I was in the 5th grade. I have been trained and played on the select AAU team. I may not be the tallest basketball player, but I’ve always believed in this quote. “It’s not about the size of the dog in the fight, but it’s about the size of the fight in the dog.” Meaning that size doesn’t matter and if you out work or out fight your opponent you will come out on top.  I am now studying at Oklahoma State University to pursue a coaching career after graduation.
