Terrance Medcafe
Hi, my name is Terrance Medcafe. I was born and raised in Denton, Texas. I graduated from Ryan High School (Home of the Champions) in 2006. While there, I played varsity basketball my junior and senior year.
I’ve now been training at Hoop Hunter for 10 years, started October 2013. I’ve been fortunate enough to train players that have made it to all levels of NCAA basketball from JUCO to D1, as well as the professional level of basketball.
I am a basketball teacher and educator with a high basketball I.Q. that understands the roles & skill sets needed to play each position as well as the mental and physical make up needed to excel in the game of basketball.
Although I didn’t pursue a basketball career in college, I have a passion to teach and inspire those who are interested in learning the game.
Getting an opportunity to become a trainer at HHB has been a privilege. I take pride in the personal responsibility, character & integrity, and high degree of expectations that the organization has set for all of their team members. It is an honor to be affiliated and associated with a group of professionals who love the lord and who cares about the personal growth and development of kids through the game.

Charlie Brown
I’ve now been a trainer at Hoop Hunter for over a year developing and mentoring players of all ages. My
mission is to continue to grow the game of basketball, in doing so I will also have a hand in growing the
next generation of players as well. The game teaches so many valuable life lessons, and I am privileged
to be on a path that allows me to see players grow and flourish on their athletic and personal journeys.
Myself, like the rest of our amazing trainers specialize in skill development but also mentorship. I’ve
played at every level (High School-Professional) and I’ve been coached by many different coaches. I have been fortunate enough to learn from all of them and apply it to my career every day. I believe the
process of getting better is a marathon and not a sprint, and becoming great can sometimes feel like a
lonely path but when you walk through the doors of Hoop Hunter you instantly feel like FAMILY and we
will prepare you for any and all adversities you may face.

Taylor Luster
Hello my name is Taylor Luster and I have been training and a trainer/coach here since 2012. I first came to HoopHunter as a sophomore to workout with Deon Hunter. Deon came across one of my games and
reached out to me on Facebook to ask if I would work a PG camp in 2011. Once the camp was finished, he offered me an opportunity to join the HoopHunter family as a college freshman at Hill College. I played at Hill College from 2012-14. I graduated from Hill College in 2014 after helping lead the team to the Region 5 Championship, with a berth in the national tournament for the first time since 1972. I then went onto lead Missouri Southern to a pair of top-three conference finishes during his playing career from 2014-16. I graduated with my business marketing degree and came to join the HoopHunter staff full time from 2016-2019. I then went to pursue my coaching career at UTSA as a graduate assistant from 2019-2021. My training background and knowledge that I gained helped produce the top two scorers in UTSA history and the NCAA for the two seasons I was there. That opportunity opened the doors for me to train a couple of up and coming professionals in the San Antonio Spurs organization. I graduated from UTSA with my masters in education. This year I accepted my first head coaching job at Mineral Wells High School. HoopHunter has my heart and has helped springboard me to something I never thought I would be at so quickly.
Whitney Williams
My name is Whitney Williams, and I first joined the Hoop Hunter family when I was 13 years old. Deon Hunter was my first basketball trainer and quickly became a mentor that I leaned on heavily through my high school and college careers.
I grew up in Fort Worth and played high school ball with a homeschool organization in the area. As my game progressed through training and the select circuit, I got the opportunity to play at the next level. I played at Iowa State and TCU, 2 Big 12 schools, where I experienced my team making trips to the NCAA Elite Eight and Sweet Sixteen in consecutive years.
Post-collegiate life has consisted of being a Graduate Assistant Coach at Oklahoma State University and doing skills training in the DFW area.
I'm honored and excited to make my way back to Hoop Hunter where many of my dreams started. I hope to be a coach who can help kids reach their potential as basketball players and as great teammates. Nothing worthwhile in this game is achieved alone. Let's get to work together!
